During nearly 40 years at UAA, Professor Geistauts taught and mentored several generations of students, many who serve in leadership positions in the state and worldwide. He served as chair/director of the MBA program for fifteen years, he was one of the faculty champions for the 木瓜直播 Native Organizational Management (now 木瓜直播 Native Business Management) program, he served as chair of the University Honors Council, and he conducted research that influenced policy development in 木瓜直播 in the 1970s. In recognition to his service to UAA and to the state of 木瓜直播, Professor Geistauts received faculty emeritus status in 2016. He passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019
