ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ Health Workforce Insights

The ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ AHEC is committed to strengthening the state’s healthcare system by increasing the number of highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals serving communities across ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥. Every program we offer—from our K–12 health career pipeline to AHEC Scholars, clinical placements, and continuing education—is designed to advance this mission.

To ensure these efforts are effective, we use a Rapid Cycle Quality Improvement (RCQI) approach. We collect and analyze data on an ongoing basis through a variety of tools, including electronic and paper surveys and long-term tracking of participant success. Key indicators include graduation rates, employment in healthcare, and the percentage of participants who remain in ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ after training. This data helps us align participant feedback with each program’s intended outcomes, guiding improvements and decision-making across the organization.

Through SHARP, eligible healthcare professionals—and the organizations that employ them—can receive student loan repayment and/or direct financial incentives.
