The Center prepares health profession students for practice in rural and underserved communities. Targeting all disciplines from certificate to doctorate programs, the Center works with health facilities and providers across ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ to provide community based experiential learning opportunities. Core topics relevant to rural practice are emphasized, such as: cultural competency, interprofessional education, and social determinants of health.

Certificate Trainings

The ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ AHEC has certified instructors to provide Youth, teen, Adult MHFA, BLS, Mandt De-Escalation, and Red Cross First Aid & CPR.
