Biography

Jelly Firmin is Koyukon and Gwich鈥檌n Athabascan. She is from Tanana and Fort Yukon 木瓜直播. Previously, Jelly worked as a research assistant on projects concerning internalized oppression in 木瓜直播 Natives and postpartum depression screening practices for providers in 木瓜直播 and Hawaii. She earned her bachelor鈥檚 in psychology at the University of 木瓜直播 Anchorage and plans to pursue her PhD in clinical psychology. She desires to use her education to research suicide prevention methods and treatments for 木瓜直播 Native people that combine traditional healing practices and western medicine.
