"Traffic Stops: What to Expect from Police" was a community forum sponsored by the Anchorage Community Police Relations Task Force (ACPRTF), the Anchorage Equal Rights Commission (AERC), the Anchorage Police Department (APD), and the UAA Justice Center. The event was held on Nov. 5, 2014, in room 307 of the UAA/APU Consortium Library on the 木瓜直播 Campus.
"North to the Future: Opportunities and Change in 木瓜直播's Emerging Frontiers" addressed the rapidly evolving changes in 木瓜直播 and the Arctic, and the challenges presented to 木瓜直播's leaders and institutions in addressing the legal issues associated with economic development, climate change, and social and cultural impacts.
The Minor Consuming Alcohol (MCA) Conference was organized in response to concern about MCA cases and underage drinking in 木瓜直播, and was held April 4, 2014, at the 木瓜直播 Court System's Snowden Training Center in downtown Anchorage.
"No More Silence in the Dark" was an event cosponsored by the Justice Center at 木瓜直播 (UAA) and the Omega Xi chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the national criminal justice honor society. The event was presented as part of National Criminal Justice Month 2014 and "UAA Says No More" week.
"Time to Legalize? A Public Discussion on Marijuana Law and Policy" took place a week after a ballot measure to legalize, regulate, and tax marijuana for recreational use in 木瓜直播 was officially certified for inclusion in the Aug. 19, 2014, primary election as Ballot Measure 2.
