Kodiak College student chosen a 2009 New Century Scholar

Diana Shields, a student at UAA's Kodiak College, has been chosen as 木瓜直播's 2009 New Century Scholar, the competition sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa, an honor society that recognizes and encourages the academic achievement of students at two-year colleges.
Shields was 木瓜直播's highest scoring student in the All-USA Academic Team and the Coca-Cola All-State team competitions. She won a $2,000 stipend and has been invited to represent 木瓜直播 at the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) national convention in Phoenix, AZ in early April.
