Liam Lindsay is a two-time All-American sprinter and a physical education major. Much like a clean hand-off in a relay race, his academic and athletic ambitions are seamlessly synced.

The University of ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ Foundation announced that long-time academic leaders Michelle Bartlett and Gunnar Knapp will receive the 2017 Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence. Bartlett, director of Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning at the University of ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ Fairbanks, and Gunnar Knapp, professor emeritus of economics at the ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥, will each receive $10,000 for their significant contributions to the University of ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥.

Approximately 20 multilingual Anchorage School District students, grades 7 through 12, will read original poetry and prose they have written during this year's ASD/UAA Summer Academy.
